Trumpet

Christian Anderson was born and raised in Dubuque, Iowa. He has a B.M. in Music Education, with a minor in Jazz Studies from the University of Northern Iowa, and a Master’s in Trumpet Performance from DePaul University in Chicago. He has studied trumpet performance with Dr. Randy Grabowski and John Hagstrom.

Since 2008, Christian has established himself as versatile and skilled musician by playing with major orchestras, chamber groups, and new music ensembles in the Chicago and Milwaukee areas. These groups include the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, Grand Rapids Symphony, Fort Wayne Philharmonic, Joffrey Ballet, and numerous other ensembles.

He is currently a member of the South Bend Symphony (third trumpet), and the Wisconsin Philharmonic (principal trumpet). He is formerly principal trumpet of the Peoria Symphony Orchestra, and second trumpet of the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra.
